poppytalk blogger made these felt bird ornaments for easter, but how cute for christmas, too! i love how simple these birds are, and their little wooden feet are so cute!

i have a hankering to make a triangle quilt...

i just think they're so pretty and i have a lot of scraps that this would be perfect for!

found a new blog to stalk...

it's basically a blog where this girl named jane (in the pictures below) writes little commentaries on clothes and also takes *pretty* stylized pictures of herself. all the pics on her blog as SO FUN to look at. sometimes i really love blogs that are more pretty pictures than words.

i saw this last night...

it was so funny! i was thoroughly entertained the whole time. everything was so quick and bright. and the premise is so original. i mean, defeat a girl's 7 evil ex's so you can date her? so romantic.
i think everyone was really well cast, there's a ton of characters in this movie!
i loved the battle scenes where he has to fight each evil ex. and there were all these video game-type special effects throughout the movie. loved it.
i also loved all the one-liners, there's a million of them. so funny and original, go see it!

tutorial tuesday: pipe cleaner book cover

i know this tutorial says it's a "back-to-school" tutorial...but i think it's such a cute idea for anytime. who doesn't love pipe cleaner??? they even have pretty glitty ones at hobby lobby. and what if you made them into spirals before gluing them on? so cute. and then you have this fuzzy texture, too. AND, it's easy. i mean, you don't even really need a tutorial...just glue 'em right on.

craft lake city was way fun! i loved walking around and seeing all the other artists there. i even got an "artist" badge to wear, i felt very fancy. i bought a vintage pillowcase dress from one vendor for my little girl (even though i know how to make them, this print was too cute) and a lil button from isabell's umbrella. love her stuff.

i definitely want to do it again next year, but only if i'm far away from the music like i was this time. i actually requested to be placed far away from the music, if possible, because i had such a horrible experience with the music at the hope festival. when i walked around chatting with vendors, so many of them complained about how loud the music was and even customers were complaining. i'm totally all for music being a component of an event but for pete's sake TURN IT DOWN A NOTCH. yes, i sound like an old lady.

it was fun meeting the customers, too. definitely a different crowd from the farmer's market, but i'm looking forward to getting back to the farmer's market routine this saturday.

all in all, a success!

love, love, love this tutorial from paper 'n' stitch.

the vases are cute, but the pencil holder version on the left is amazing. i love that you can pin little notes and pictures on it.

wouldn't that be the best homemade gift for a friend who works in an office? or for yourself next to your home computer?

and so easy to do. nice.

new arcade fire album = lovely

i can't wait to listen to it in my car...

because that's where i mostly listen to music.

i LOVE this idea. i've tried this before using a different technique, but this tutorial shows a much easier method. think of how cute it would be for all the holidays? thanks folding trees!
